It's important for media companies to ensure that the majority of their products are all combined, showing resemblance throughout all the stuff linking them back to each other. This is known as synergy. From doing my research I found that all companies have used this, on their digipaks and magazine adverts by designing them so that they both resemble one a other. This can be done through the same use of colours/Font/images, keeping their trademark so that the audience will be able to identify that band/artist by it's appearance. This is a great method used to help maximise their sales, as the audience can recognise the link with the music.

Brand Identity
Brand identity is important in the music industry because each artist/band want to create their own, individual image that they can be recognised by. It's what gives them there connection with their music and that specific genre. When Looking at my main product and ancillary texts, you can see that I have created them using the same theme across them all, keeping the link to our video. On the front of my digipak I have used an image taken from our filming footage, showing the back of the girls hair with the beach in the background. The reason I chose to use that was because the audience are more likely to be recognise the location from our music video. This is effective because from that they will recognise the band, promoting their music encouraging people to buy their album and listen to more of their music.

Furthermore, the beach wasn't the only location we used in our music video, we also filmed at a forest. Again referring back to my digipak on the right panel, I have used a photo of all 3 band members standing in the forest with their instrument. I feel that this is also effective because it highlights the other location in the music video that keeps repeating throughout our videos chorus where the beat picks up. On my magazine advert I have tried to keep the consistency by keeping the colours and images similar to what I have used on my digipak. When you first look at it looks slightly different due to me using the beach image as my entire background giving it a more blue appearance, although this is still effective because I have again shown the location but also kept the colouring matching, so the blue tone links with the sea scene, that is played at the opening of our video.
